Welcome to the innerbridge blog. Here the company's founders Nick Allen and Tom Rhinelander will frequently write about topics related to marketing services, with an emphasis on digital marketing (Web site design, email strategy, PR, etc.). While we love our families, pets, and various hobbies (like hockey and surfing), you won't read about them here unless they have some link to marketing.
What can you expect when you visit the blog or subscribe to its feed? Most of our posts will mirror the topics and services our clients are interested in (imagine that!), including:
- SEO and SEM. Search engine strategy (search engine optimization and search engine marketing) is critical as Web sites are the No. 1 interface with many prospects and customers.
- SFA and CRM integration. Sites with no bridge to sales force automation (SFA) or customer relationship management (CRM) solutions starve the sales pipeline. In our posts, we will also highlight some of the third-party tools that extend the capability of these internal or hosted solutions.
- Web site design. There's no shortage of Web site design service providers, but there's also no shortage of poorly designed sites that are not SEO/SEM optimized, don't integrate with SFA/CRM solutions, and that are not easy to update or manage. Keeping artists and technology-loving developers in check and ensuring that business needs and goals are met and achieved is easier said than done.
- Email marketing. Everyone receives too much email -- a recent interaction with a large financial services firm noted that email overload was cited as the top problem in terms of organizational communication challenges. Email campaigns that aren't effective are worse than a time waster -- they can backfire and create negative feelings among prospects and even happy customers.
- Public relations. innerbridge's founders have experience with the business and trade press, PR agencies, bloggers, and industry analysts. We spend a lot of time helping clients tailor their primary message to each audience and to individuals in order to get the most bang for their PR buck.
Those won't be the only topics we tackle, but those are the "hot button" subjects we work on or are asked about on a daily basis. Feel free to leave a comment about a post or suggest a topic to explore as we are always interested in what our readers -- clients or just those visiting -- care about.
Thanks for your interest and good luck in 2008,
- Tom & Nick
